Actually it looks like assets are being added to Bug 1004014.

Some UI/ a link will need to be added to the interface, but we are currently blocked on getting the assets in bug 1004014

Sean's templates will be incorporated into a Mozilla-specific version of BadgeKit this summer. First Erik, David and I are working to scope what our own instance of the software will be and we will have more details soon. Thank you!

We have a working prototype, but it is yet to be integrated into any real application, BadgeKit or otherwise. Need to talk to Erik and David about the best place for that integration to happen.

Can you clarify exactly what it is you're expecting to have/be able to use by the end of the sprint? I want to make sure that we're actually working on what you need, rather than what we think you need.

kate, can you explain what you need? andrew and I aren't clear on what you need. We have a badge studio which could be integrated (it's just clientside HTML/JS/CSS), but it's not obvious what you need for this bug to be closed.

This was an idea that came up at all hands --

The idea was that in badgekit, where you can choose to upload a design, there would be a link that says "Click here to download template files" or something similar which would link to a zip of the eps/illustrator files. It would be useful for users who want to make badges in illustrator.

However, this is very low priority for us/not needed, so feel free to wontfix if you don't want to do it.

Andrew, Kate's info should provide you with all you need.  As noted, this isn't a high priority item, so I'm actually going to remove from our sprints before maker party.

Given that this is being removed from Webmaker sprints entirely, and Kate's update suggests that for the time being it's "not needed", I'm going to close this as 'wontfix' for now (particularly as I essentially have nothing to do with the BadgeKit stuff any more). Should the need arise for this requirement in the future, open the ticket again.

For what it's worth, we're working on integrating a new badge studio into badges.mozilla.org that should reduce the need for anyone to be downloading EPSs etc. We could potentially make that generally available as a tool outside of the badge creation workflow, if you wanted to use it to make badges beyond the badges.mozilla.org platform.
