User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; SunOS sun4u; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140422155636 Steps to reproduce: 1. Begin with no profile. 2. Start Firefox 29.0. It creates a profile. 3. Quit Firefox. 4. Start Firefox again. Actual results: While reading the existing profile at start, Firefox crashes with SEGV. This happens every time there is an existing profile to read at start. Backing out from Firefox 29.0 to to Firefox 28.0 works around it. Expected results: Not crash.

Starting in safe mode does not work around it. Starting with profile manager only helps if I use profile manager to create a new profile which I then use. As with any other profile, trying to read that new profile at startup will cause the same crash.

This looks very similar to the issue discussed in Bug 961488. I think there is a patch for sparc on that bug.
