Using the M8 release, I went to www.news.com. I resized the window a few times, then noticed this in the console: Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkcontainer.c: line 717 (gtk_container_remove): assertion `widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed. (the above message repeated 4x) Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwidget.c: line 1394 (gtk_widget_destroy): assertion `widget != NULL' failed. There are a few other bug reports with one of these lines, but none with both. I had just started by typing "sh mozilla-apprunner.sh", hit Stop about halfway through loading the Mozilla page, the typed "www.news.com" into the nav box. The window then stopped redrawing - I could resize it, but the extra space was just filled with grey. When I closed the window (left-click on the "X" at the top right"), this showed up on the terminal: Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmain.c: line 532 (gtk_main_quit): assertion `main_loops != NULL' failed. For example, the "enter email" text field and its submit button were overlapping the "Dow Jones 11209 +22.43 ... " links. I could not get it to show those errors again, no matter how many times I resized it. I then left clicked on "help" in the title bar, then dragged the mouse over to Debug and QA. Each time a new drop-down menu opened, about 30 or so of the Line 717 errors appeared. I tried opening all the drop-down menus, and found that these errors appeared any time I moved from one drop-down to another, whether or not I held down the mouse button. (I did open those menus the first time I ran the program, which may have caused the things I described above) Finally, on three places on the page, there were thin green lines running horizontally underneath elements. I got more line 717 errors when I did Edit->Copy to copy the WebStreet quote. When I quit (clicked the "X"), I got that line 532 error again.
