User taps Camera App and taps Gallery icon in lower left. With at least 18 photos in the Gallery, tap the Camera icon in the lower left. In landscape mode, prior to the camera app loading with the blue circle, part of the gallery displays in an awkward manner <please see video marked below for landscape> before transitioning to the Camera focus area. Repro rate is 100 percent 5/5. In portrait mode, prior to the camera app loading, the gallery screen flickers <please see video below marked portrait, and observe 25 second, 53 second, 1:06, 1:25 and 1:53 marks> briefly before transitioning to the camera app. The portrait repro rate is low 10 percent (10 out of 100). Power save mode was both on and off during these tests. Battery life ranged as high as 52 percent during testing.

Repro Steps:
1) Updated Tarako to BuildID: 20140502014001
2) Tap Camera App 
3) Tap Gallery icon within Camera App 
4) Tap Camera icon in either landscape or portrait mode 

Actual:
In Landscape, part of the gallery is displayed in a rectangular alignment and vanishes before the camera is focused on the object in question. In Portrait, intermittently, the gallery page flickers to resemble a refresh of the page then transitions to the blue circle on the black backdrop then goes to the camera focused on the object in question. Very seldom, only 3 times, appears a checkerboard pattern resembling the test pattern seen on TV when stations used to go off the air.

Expected:
Graceful transition from gallery to camera without any flickering of the gallery, no checkerboard/test pattern display, no gallery images showing at all during the transition to camera.

The landscape issue does reproduce on 1.3 Buri. The portrait issue does not reproduce on 1.3 Buri. 

a) Following STR from Comment 0 witnessed part of the gallery showing in a rectangular manner awkwardly before vanishing and transitioning to the Camera App in landscape mode.

b) Following STR from Comment 0 witnessed graceful transition between Gallery and Camera in portrait mode without the flicker/refresh effect noticed on Tarako in 10 attempts.
