This feature was originally requested by lord. See bug 87021. The code for AES ciphersuites for TLS in NSS 3.4 is now implemented and will be checked in as soon as some interoperability testing is done. For backwards compatibility reasons, ciphers that were added to NSS after NSS 3.0 are always disabled by default. An application that wants to use these newer ciphersuites must explicitly enable them. It's also a good idea to have a UI to en/disable each of the ciphersuites, old and new, individually. The interface to libSSL by which these ciphersuites are enabled or disabled is already known and stable. The work to use this in PSM can begin at any time now.
