100708 - scrolling artifacts in images and text

When scrolling newly downloaded page some artifacts apear in images (I think
mostly interlaced GIFs) and _large_ text. Artifacs look like horizontal lines.
Black in images or shifted parts of letters in text.

I cannot reproduce this bug every time. I think it apears after fresh download
of page. Exactly the same artifacts appear in interface of all Mozilla windows.
But after some scaling and clicking on GUI buttons they disapear.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open page with some large text or images
2.Scroll it


Actual Results:  Look at the bottom of window, it makes artifacts on page

Expected Results:  Render clear text and images

Windows 2000 English + SP2, AMD Athlon.

imglib or layout? punt as needed, but i don't think this belongs in xp apps...

I am seeing this behavior also, created an attachment. 

Build: 2001091303 / Win2000

This error is not always reproducible. But fast scrolling by clicking on the
arrow reproduces it more often that scrolling by moving the scroll bar. After
redrawing the window (draging another window over it) everything looks fine.

As you can see on the original page, this behavior happens with gifs (top-right
of page) and jpegs (low-right of page).

Actually, scrolling slowly by scroll bar makes more horizontal lines (always
reproducible).
Have not seen this behavior on text, though.

The image part of this is dup of bug 83289.
The rest is bug 63336.

I think you will find that if you set preferences/appearance/fonts display
resolution to for instance 96 dpi, the problem goes away. See comment from David
Baron regarding resolutions that would not show the bug: 72, 80, 90, 96, 120.

96 dpi is commonly used, 72dpi for "small fonts". If you have a very high screen
resolution, try 120dpi.

Resolving as dup of 83289 since this bug mention images first.
