STR: 1. go to marketplace and install https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/x-type on nexus 4 (android 4.4.2) expected: 2. app installed with its own icon actual: 2. app installed with generic android icon
Martyn Haigh reports that installing X-Type on Nexus 5 yields the correct icon
I can confirm this behavior using nightly and a Nexus 4 running Android 4.2.2.
I'm not able to reproduce on my Galaxy S5. https://controller.apk.firefox.com/application.apk?manifestUrl=http://x-type.tresensa.com/manifest.webapp application-icon-120:'res/drawable-ldpi/ic_launcher.png' application-icon-160:'res/drawable-mdpi/ic_launcher.png' application-icon-240:'res/drawable-hdpi/ic_launcher.png' application-icon-320:'res/drawable-xhdpi/ic_launcher.png' application-icon-480:'res/drawable-480dpi/ic_launcher.png' application: label='X-Type' icon='res/drawable-mdpi/ic_launcher.png' I see game application icon used for me.

Can anyone reproduce with the hardware listed in bug#1021617?
Per bug 1235869, we're going to disable the Android web runtime, so we won't fix this bug in it. (This is part of a bulk resolution of bugs in the Firefox for Android::Web Apps component, from which I attempted to exclude bugs that are not specific to the runtime, but it's possible that I included one accidentally. If so, I'm sorry, and please reopen the bug!)
