User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/34.0.1847.131 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X User Agent 10.9; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 1. Create a series of square boxes with background images (position center, size cover) floated at 25% wide to a flexible container. 2. stretch the document window or hover the cursor over the boxes with the background images. If these values are set to pixels and not %, the problem goes away. Also, if the window is stretched to a width optimal to the %, the rendering looks fine (see attached image). Hovering is particularly troublesome since it causes the images to change the subpixel rendering in odd ways. See second attachment. See attached image for Actual results: Interpolation values at the edges of the box produce unwanted sub-pixel borders. These sometimes look like dotted lines, and sometimes just appear as straight thin lines. Expected results: The background images should bleed to the edges of the square, without any subpixel/interpolation bugs.

It would be very helpful if you could attach an html file that shows the bug to this bug report. You can attach an image first and then reference that from the html file.
I'm having this same issue, exactly as described above on sisalandtow.com
Hi Robert, I have tested the 2 links on the latest Firefox release(43.0.4) and the latest Nightly(46.0a1) and I haven't seen any sub-pixel borders. Build ID 20160105164030 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build ID 20160110030214 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 Can you please try to reproduce this on the release(43.0.4) and/or the latest Nightly (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and provide the results? When doing this, please try to reproduce with a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even in safe mode, as some of this issues may be caused by third party installed add-ons or custom settings(https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems). Thanks, Cipri

It appears to be fixed in the latest version of Firefox. Your lucky day. :)
