I can't reproduce this. Can you reproduce this issue on a clean profile ? ( https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles )
Flags: needinfo?(max)
I did a bit more research with a clean profile: The problem is obviously related to my two display configuration. It only occurs, if the firefox window belongs to the left of the two displays. If I try to reproduce this at the right display or if I disable my second (left) display, the UI looks fine after restart.

Which of them is your main display, and which of them has/have the OS X global menubar showing?

The right display is my main display. But when I switch the global menu to my left display (by hitting the bottom of the left screen) the problem still occurs.

I'm guessing this is fixed on current Firefox...
