Details
The ability to selectively block images/cookies is a beautiful feature, and one
that gives free (as in speech) browsers the edge over others. However, Mozilla
seems to be lacking the ability to selectively load individual images/all
images, after the page has loaded. It would also be useful to display some icon
in place of the missing images so that one could locate them for subsequent
loading.
Thanks for all your hard work thus far. Too bad all I'm good for is submiting
gripes. :)

This isn't a dup of bug 57505 -- in fact, it's just about the exact opposite.
`Show Images' would load *all* the images which are *not* blocked. Darin,
however, is asking for loading of *individual* images which *are* blocked.
This bug does depend on 57505, though, because therein would be fixed the
problem of loading images after the page itself has loaded.

UI for this is fairly obvious: the `Load Image' context menu item.

Then I'm confused. Bug 57505 looks to me like it is talking about loading
images that are blocked which is just the opposite of what MPT said above. So I
agree with Zbarsky that this is a dup of 57505.

Let's try that again.

No, as I said, bug 57505 is about loading images which ARE NOT blocked. This bug
is about loading images which ARE blocked. For the odd case where I want to load
an image which is blocked, I need to be able to choose `Load Image' from the
shortcut menu, or (for a non-link image) click on the image's icon, to load the
image. That's what this bug is about. It is not a duplicate. Reopening.

I still fail to see a difference between this bug and bug 57505. In 57505 the
images were blocked by the fact that images were turned off in the prefs panel.
In this case they are blocked because the user said he didn't want to accept
images from the particular server. Total block versus selective blocking. But
blocking none-the-less.
If you want to consider these as two separate bugs, so be it. But at least the
same person should be assigned to both of them. Therefore reassigning this to
ben.

No, turning images off is not `blocking' them, it's turning them off. When
images are turned off, choosing `Load Images' should load all images except for
those which are blocked. If you still want to load an image which is blocked,
you should be able to choose `Load Image' from the shortcut menu or (if the
image is not a link) click on the placeholder icon.

See also bug 34165, which applies to `View Image' rather than `Load Image'.

Would "Load Image" replace another context menu item for blocked images, or
would it be shown in addition to the normal set of context menu items for images?
Summary: option to load blocked images selectively → "Load Image" context menu item to load a blocked image

Actually, I think bug 147066 was probably a duplicate of bug 145690 (a request
for an image whitelist option, with images loaded ONLY IF the site is marked as
allowed in the permissions list).
