Is this just with apple voiceover, or also on Windows (with jaws, nvda, windoweyes, what-have-you) ?

This works fine for me on Windows with NVDA. But we do indeed have a bug where alerts are not accessible yet on OS X with VoiceOver.

@Gijs we reproduced with JAWS 15. Unrelated issue reported by our tester, the close button at the top right has no effect (you'd expect to dismiss the warning or collapse the element?)
