TBC exact criteria that passes the contribution threshold. * Subscribing is not contribution * Posting a single message is unlikely to be There will need to be some rule set that measures meaningful engagement as best as possible (e.g. more than x replies, or starting y conversations that get more than z replies). It may be possible to use the parsing scripts within Metrics Grimoire to transform our mailing list archives into a query-able dataset. https://github.com/MetricsGrimoire/ Other solutions should be investigated and considered too.

On reflection, I think we should kill this. Contributors use mailing lists, but using a mailing list does not make someone a contributor (in the 'where do we count active contributors to Mozilla' sense of the term). There is still potentially interesting data here around things like what % of contributors use IRC vs mailing lists which can be explored when we look at Metrics Grimoire, but this is not required for our contributor dashboard.
