Mozilla Build 1999071808 has problems submitting a form to a ColdFusion Application Running on an IIS 4.0 Webserver. I managed to get a network dump of the HTTP headers beign sent by Netscape 4.61 (which works) and Mozilla. I managed to trace the problem down to This header: Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset ISO-8859-1 After changing it to: Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded and manually sending the headers (telnet server port 80 and cut and paste) it worked. The full headers being sent by the aforementioned Mozilla build are: POST /Login_check.cfm HTTP/1.1 Connection: Keep-Alive User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 [en] (Win95; I) Pragma: no-cache Host: idocs.suptec.com.au Accept: text/html, text/xml, image/png, image/gif, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, */* Accept-Encoding: gzip Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset ISO-8859-1 Content-Length: 22 Login=adf&Password=adf The headers being submitted by Navigator 4.61 are: POST /Login_check.cfm HTTP/1.0 Referer: http://idocs.suptec.com.au/ Connection: Keep-Alive User-Agent: Mozilla/4.61 [en] (Win95; I) Host: idocs.suptec.com.au Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, image/png, */* Accept-Encoding: gzip Accept-Language: en Accept-Charset: iso-8859-1,*,utf-8 Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 22 Login=adf&Password=adf I'm not sure if this is a bug with Mozilla, IIS4.0 or ColdFusion. Could you please advise if it's not a Mozilla problem, so I can chase it up with Microsoft or Allaire (creators of ColdFusion). I Also have network dumps of what IIS responded with, if you feel that they are useful, please let me know. Note: I only have a licence for 3 more days on the network sniffer. Please let me know before then if you need any more sniffing to be done. For testing, you can use Username of adf and password of adf. a sucessful submission of the form should result in a page saying: Invalid Login Name Use your browser's back button to go back and try again.
