Currently, the Loop panel ends up approximately 350 x 350 pixels (h x w) when it is displayed, however its meant to be something more like 100 x 350 pixels. I think what is happening, is the initial dynamic layout followed by l10n is happening in a more vertical sense, which is then interfering when we size to the content displayed. This may get resolved when we implement bug 1011392, or we may need to do something else, maybe with our layouts, or where we call sizeSocialPanelToContent.

Panel size seems to be correct when the button is in the toolbar but is too big when the button is in the Hamburger menu. See bug 1053476 for more details.
