From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20010920 BuildID: 2001092003 I am unable to get talkback support because talkback does not provide support for authorizing proxy servers e.g. squid 1.1.22 There is no provision for providing a user/password combination in the popup, and the talkback does not appear to handle a request from the proxy. See some comments in bug 19271 I am unable to provide talkback info about crashes I am experiencing with mailnews etc. Our company has a policy of authorising all external conections for accounting and acceptable use policy reasons. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Run talkback (from L:\My Programs\mozilla.org\Mozilla\components) 2.Generate an event 3.Click the 'send' icon to "Send Queued Incidents(s)" (sic) Actual Results: Get a popup saying The Agent is unable to connect to the server. Please check your Proxy Server settings or try again later. windump shows that the squid proxy server has sent an authorisation error packet. Expected Results: An session authorisation popup is displayed (i.e. request for user/password as per Mozilla browser) and tghe results used to open an authorised connection. I shall attach a windump log of the interaction with the proxy server.

Also true on w2k; should os switch to all ?
Probably, provided the authentication is the same for squid (this bug) and Netscape proxy server (36545).

I agree that it's a dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 36545 ***
