User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140506152807
Steps to reproduce:
open whatever facebook page you want (for examplke
https://www.facebook.com/BianchinaBaltiOFFICIAL
close ff, by setting Restore the last session on startup.
clear cache cookie at shutdown.
Actual results:
reopen ff.
you go
https://www.facebook.com/
and you have to remeber what fb page or what fb user you opened.
this behaviour NEVER happened in the past.
Expected results:
even if I close FF, at restart I NEED to see the url like this
https://www.facebook.com/BianchinaBaltiOFFICIAL
not only https://www.facebook.com/
this has NOTHING to do with FB login.
in the past, even if had to re-login
see
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=950399
i found without problem the fb url, now i have only the generic fb url.

I wasn't able to reproduce this issue with latest Nightly 32.0a1(buildID: 20140525030203) on Windows Vista 32bit.
Could you please try with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles ?
Also, you can try this by running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Flags: needinfo?(banakon)
Hi, at the moment I can reply about the safe mode.
setting:
delete cache & cookie at FF shoutdown, I always use this setting.
as said above (link to the bug) after updating to ff26 I need to re-login in Fb and YT at FF startup.
but the "new" bad behaviour is that now at FF startup (after re-login into FB)
the FB page with the user becomes a simply facebook.com: FF does change the url into the generic FB home!
I guess, its not due to ff29 (it worked after upgrading to ff29), nor to the new FB interface (it worked after switching to the new interface).
very strange.
this evening, before closing, I will try to add "allow facebook.com" in the cookie exceptions, but I doubt that this will help...
even if I am not logged in (at ff startup) I would have the noraml behaviour: the fb page of each user should restored, not changed into facebook.com.

Hi Camelia, I have news for you!!
Restarting FF the URL are still present!
the problem arises only during the re-login!
I hope that they will resolve this bug
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=950399
Summary:
close FF with FB pages (you are logged in into FB!)
restart FF.
you can see all the FB pages with no issue, all the URLs are restored!
then, login into FB by writing your access data
https://www.facebook.com/
click OK login.
at this point each FB url becomes automatically
https://www.facebook.com/
!!!!!

Unfortunately, I'm unable to help you further on with this matter due to the fact that I can't reproduce this issue.
Hope that someone else will be able to assist or find reliable steps to reproduce.
I dont understand what is changed....
I add a shourt news:
reopen FF (you are logged out), all the FB url are perfect restored.
login. all the fb page becomes facebook.com
, but....
if you select one tab (FB) and then you login using the bookmark FB, then after login you DONT lose the fb tab selected before the login, you lose "only" the other tab with fb, the tabs that you did not select before login.
I guess that none can help me, since with this unexpected surprise I am the one and only ont he Earth with this problem.
thanks.

Could not reproduce this latest Nigthly 46.0a1 - Build ID 20160107030235, User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0 on Windows Vista x 64 bit. When I reopen ff and Restore Previous session, firefox is opened at Facebook with the page opened before close.
Could you please update to a recent and supported version (see http://www.firefox.com/ - current Nightly version is 46 ), and confirm whether this issue still occurs using Firefox in safe mode or with a new profile?

As the bug 950399 is Verified-fixed and due to the fact that this issue is not reproducible on latest Nightly, marking the bug Resolved-Worksforme.
