Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20140429 Firefox/24.0 Iceweasel/24.5.0 (Nightly/Aurora)
Build ID: 20140429161455

Steps to reproduce:

I downloaded some PDF files.

Installed PDF Viewer: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/pdf-viewer?src=search

Actual results:

I cannot browse the sdcard from app.

So I installed File Manager App: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/file-manager

When I try to browse I only see 2 lines:
sdcard: 0.00 KBof free space
extsd: 0.00 KBof free space

I tried access via browser as well: file:///mnt/extsd, and no success.

But I can reach these contents by adb shell and through computer: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/flatfish-tip-how-to-access-external-sd-card/470

Expected results:

Browse the SDCards contents via Apps (PDF viewer and File Manager)
Summary: [flatship][Tablet]: Could not access sdcards (internal or external) → [flatfish][Tablet]: Could not access sdcards (internal or external)
Hmm... I'm not sure about 3rd party app bugs.
Andrew,

It's true, but is it possible have some bug on the API that deal with file systems? I mean, it doesn't work fine on tablet as works on phones?

The problem is these two apps works fine on phone devices, and doesn't work on flatfish.
Mine works fine i can access all PDFs in my SD card ( though the app has some glitches )
This can be related with Bug 994376. Could you check?

# PDF Viewer

- Manifest is broken
- "Default media location" MUST be "SD Card"
- It take some time to find all PDF in SD Card
- It take some time to open the PDF
- It take some time to respond when the PDF is open

# File Manager

- Manifest is broken
- It don't show any file

I disabled USB storage and the problem continue.

But when I reboot the tablet, I got access.

I tried to reproduce the bug, but with no success:

I enabled USB storage: Continue get access,
So, I reboot the tablet, and the access continue normal.

The time response of apps is not good. Take a long time to load each page.

So, from what I understand here is that a reboot of the device solved the issue?
Andrew,

Apparently what solved the issue was turn off USB Storage and reboot, because I've already rebooted it before and didn't work.

Hmm.. Can anybody confirm that the bug is really resolved?
Yes. I can Ensure that this bug is resolved. I am using the latest build of Flatfish and I can access Internal and external memory by "File manager"
