User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140506152807 Steps to reproduce: I have a Logitech mouse with a macro that allows it to click extremely fast by holding down my left mouse button. When holding down the button on a tab's red X, it closes multiple tabs in a row. Actual results: What normally happened from Mozilla version 28 and earlier is that it would continue to close tabs as long as I held down the left click button (to left click very quickly over and over again). With Mozilla version 29 when I do this it will close about 2 tabs then it will resize my browser window preventing me from continue my tab closing. Expected results: When I hold down the macro button on my mouse it should allow me to continue closing tabs. I usually have my browser with 500+ tabs but every couple of weeks I will reduce the tabs to less than 100 tabs. Using this macro makes closing tabs very easy. But with version 29 of firefox trying to do this is impossible since it will only close about 2 tabs then it will resize my firefox windows. Rinse and repeat. Before I could hold down the macro button and I could close as many tabs in a row without it resizing the windows. I could close 200 tabs in under 40 seconds.
If you don't have a mouse you can make a macro to left click over and over again. Try left clicking as fast as you can on a group of tabs and the same thing can be reproduced. You have to click very quickly.
Heh, you're probably running into this situation: "Open new tab" http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2838731 In particular note: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=13595393#p13595393
That does seem like its related. I found a work around from that thread. When I use a title bar on firefox it works. That thread mentions disabling Aero also but it isn't necessary (that thread creator was having issues different than my issue though). I'd like this to work without the title bar like before. Hopefully you guys can figure this out. I'd certainly be grateful for it. Take care.
