STR :
* Open Gmail, click on any email.
* Press the Backspace key.

What happens :
Nothing

Expected :
We should bind the backspace key to the back functionality/button, like we do on Windows. Chrome also does this by default on all the platforms.
I was just told this has been a *feature* since the dawn of time and there is a pref to turn this off. Closing this bug.
