Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4+)
Gecko/20010928
BuildID: 2001092803
All the tabs in one window show the security status of the first tab. For
example, if the first tab is a secure site, all the rest of the tabs show up as
secure (even if they're not). If the first tab is not a secure site, but the
second one is, the second tab shows as not secure.
To tell if they are secure, I am looking at the lock icon in the bottom right
corner of the screen. I'm also using the modern theme if that matters.
Clicking the lock icon shows the security status of the first tab.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a site you know is either secure or not in a new mozilla window.
2. Press ctrl-t to open a new tab
3. Load a site you know is opposite in security in the 2nd tab. (if first tab
was secure, load insecure page & vice versa)
4. With the 2nd tab selected, the icon should show the security status of the
first tab.
5. Click on lock icon (in bottom right corner), and notice it gives info for
the first tab.
Actual Results: Security status (via the lock icon), shows incorrect
information for every tab except the first.
Expected Results: Security status should show correctly for all tabs.
Marking critical, because this is a major security issue. For example, someone
might think they are submitting secure information when they are not.

Tabbrowser is not ready for primetime yet -- this is why there is no UI to get to
it other than an unadvertised keyboard shortcut. So I would hardly call this bug
critical.
Please file future bugs on this feature in the "tabbed browser" component...
duplicate of "tabbrowser: "security" info in the status bar confused between
tabs"
