Details

There should be an ability to get HTML5 like notification toasts in the case of mentions or other events you wanna be notified about. This will be pretty similar to the notification popups that we get on Gmail.
Can you describe how this is different from "Notify of messages received in inactive windows" option?
Yeah, sorry I hadn't checked that option. That's exactly what I wanted, being notifies with these little boxes when mentioned.
