User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140617004002 Steps to reproduce: Turn on hardware acceleration Restart Firefox Actual results: Top part of screen (where tab bar and address bar are situated) were transluscent, rest of screen black. Expected results: Tab bar and address bar show, and window screen shows web page.
This also happened in Aurora build 20140616. I am unsure which build I used before 20140616 but it did not occur before that. Probably after 20140612 .
Component: Untriaged → Graphics
Product: Firefox → Core
Works in Safe Mode as well as with acceleration off. Graphics card info: NVIDIA 4200M/Intel HD Graphics 3000. I am pretty sure firefox is using the Intel Card

(In reply to XtC4UaLL [:xtc4uall] from comment #6) > Does a driver update for the Intel GPU help? Was on the driver that came with Windows 7 (dated 2010). Upgraded on https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=2nd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+3000%2f2000 and WFM now. FWIW Windows Update doesn't install this driver update, you need to get it from Intel manually which I hadn't done until now.

Hello everyone, I get the same issue since the beginning of this week. about:support (in safe mode & in french :-)) : Date du pilote: 3-6-2011 Date du pilote (GPU #2): 8-12-2011 Description de la carte: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Description de la carte (GPU #2): NVIDIA NVS 4200M DirectWrite activé: false (6.1.7601.17789) Fenêtres avec accélération graphique: 0/1 Basic (OMTC) GPU #2 active: false ID du périphérique: 0x0126 ID du périphérique (GPU #2): 0x1057 ID du vendeur: 0x8086 ID du vendeur (GPU #2): 0x10de Pilote de la carte (GPU #2): nvd3dumx,nvwgf2umx,nvwgf2umx nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Pilotes de la carte: igdumd64 igd10umd64 igd10umd64 igdumdx32 igd10umd32 igd10umd32 RAM de la carte: Unknown RAM de la carte (GPU #2): 1024 Rendu WebGL: Google Inc. -- ANGLE (Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Direct3D9Ex vs_3_0 ps_3_0) Version du pilote: 8.15.10.2321 Version du pilote (GPU #2): 8.17.12.7593 windowLayerManagerRemote: true AzureCanvasBackend: skia AzureContentBackend: cairo AzureFallbackCanvasBackend: cairo AzureSkiaAccelerated: 0
If we have a driver range where things are not working, I'd feel better about blacklisting it, rather than across all versions for this hardware.
Russel, is this still an issue for you?
