Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140617004002

Steps to reproduce:

Turn on hardware acceleration
Restart Firefox

Actual results:

Top part of screen (where tab bar and address bar are situated) were transluscent, rest of screen black.

Expected results:

Tab bar and address bar show, and window screen shows web page.
This also happened in Aurora build 20140616. I am unsure which build I used before 20140616 but it did not occur before that. Probably after 20140612 .
Component: Untriaged → Graphics
Product: Firefox → Core
Works in Safe Mode as well as with acceleration off.

Graphics card info:
NVIDIA 4200M/Intel HD Graphics 3000. I am pretty sure firefox is using the Intel Card
Is this what you want?

Does a driver update for the Intel GPU help?
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics&ProdId=3231&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39

FWIW, on my Optimus Notebook (Intel + NVidia GPU) with recent/latest drivers for both GPUs this is WFM.

Was on the driver that came with Windows 7 (dated 2010). Upgraded on
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=2nd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+3000%2f2000

and WFM now. FWIW Windows Update doesn't install this driver update, you need to get it from Intel manually which I hadn't done until now.

If we have a driver range where things are not working, I'd feel better about blacklisting it, rather than across all versions for this hardware.
Russel, is this still an issue for you?
