Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140605174243
Steps to reproduce:
I tried to log in like I have for years, go to the log in page and type in my long time password and click on the log in button.
Actual results:
I am directed to a page that simply says "One Moment..." and the Paypal blue line just keeps going around and around for ten minutes or more
Expected results:
I should have been logged in to my Paypal account in 5 to ten seconds. However, I have discovered that if I open another tab and go to a PAYPAL payment confirmation email and click on the "transaction ID" number that it takes me to the transaction information page and from there I can access the site like normal and I am, in fact, logged in to Paypal. This happens while the Paypal login page in the original tab is still attempting to log me in without success. I use an Intel Mac Mini with recently installed FF 30.0. Safari on the same computer works just fine with Paypal! jb

Using FF 32 beta 8 & 9 makes logging into Paypal impossible. All I get is a spinning circle.
Please, could you try:
1) in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
2) with a clean profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Does it fix the issue?

Running in the safe mode did not solve the problem. However, it works in IE.

I was able to sign in to Paypal with the new profile. So, now what do I do to get the old one to work?
Various possibilities: corrupt cookies from Paypal (remove them by clicking in the favicon of PP, then "More information..."), try to clean the browser cache (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache).
Does it fix it?

Cleaning cache and removing Paypal cookie did nothing - same problem.
So reset your current profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-to-fix-most-problems

I use the Firefox "IE" addon and it works just fine. A new profile would be too onerous to apply, when a simple solution is available.

As it works with a clean profile, I close this bug.
