Details

Unlike Netscape 4.x, there seems to be no way to use your certificates to sign and/or encrypt mail. In the present climate, security seems more important than ever. We need the ability to encrypt mail via S/MIME. PGP would be OK, but S/MIME is more standard and fits into the PKI security manager.
S/MIME support is being worked on. Try doing a search on "S/MIME" in summaries for a list of outstanding problems. Duplicate of "[RFE] S/MIME support in Mozilla Mail" *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 74157 ***
