The state of the "Wrap Around" toggle should be saved.
If I turn it on now, then happen to quit Mozilla (close
all the windows I'm currently browsing), it shouldn't
turn itself off when I start Mozilla again.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla
2. Press control-F
3. Click "Wrap Around" to enable it
4. Quit Mozilla
5. Press control-F

Actual Results: Wrap Around is disabled.

Expected Results: I explicitly enabled it, and never disabled it. It should still
be enabled.

See also bug 91520, which says it should default to on.

It doesn't matter if it defaults to on or off, as long as
it is saved -- then, worst-case, you only have to click
it once, ever, which is acceptable.
worksforme in build 2001091903 win2K. Is this a regression?
This is the wrong component, I think it should go to xpapps or gui features or
something, but since i'm not sure i'm leaving it here
FWIW, just tried Win2k 0.9.4 (2001091303), and it doesn't save it there,
either.
(Go ahead and assign it whereever is appropriate.)

Works fine for me. Saves if you press find, not cancel.

Just downloaded latest-trunk (2001102206) for Linux, and
the "wrap around" toggle has been cleared again, even if
I press "find". Reopening.

N.B., step 4 to reproduce is "quit mozilla". It remembers
it during this run, but if I happen to close my last mozilla
window and start it again, it's gone. It shouldn't forget
such a trivial preference between runs. Or are you guys
using a different version of mozilla that actually saves it?

this sounds like an rfe --to have Find settings persist btwn sessions...
Severity: minor → enhancement
Summary: Find's Wrap Around toggle should be saved → Find's Wrap Around toggle should persist btwn sessions
The find backend is stateless if you want to store the dialog setting of the
dialog, it should be done by the app. Giving back to blake.

Is there any progress on this one? It's also been discussed a log in bug 91520.
Over in that bug, people were saying that Wrap Around should be on be default,
but who cares, so long as it's 'sticky'?
I noticed it's on by default in Firefox. If you clear "Wrap" it will come back
the next time you search. I'd rather see it be 'sticky' for each search and
each session.
Reassigning obsolete bugs to their respective Seamonkey owners (i.e. nobody).
If you want this fixed for Firefox, change the Product and Component accordingly
and reassign back to me.

With the latest builds, and the new find bar at the top of the browser, I don't believe that "wrap" is even offered as an option to be toggled at all any more. Can we close out this bug?
