As I made changes to apps/system/js/notifications.js to implement lockscreen visual refresh in bug 950884 and its follow-ups, it's better I write tests for the modifications too.
This bug is no longer valid: the changes I had made to notifications.js were decoupled into lockscreen_notifications.js in bug 1023500, which I wrote thorough tests for.
