Expected results:
Should appear the proxy authenticate dialog box requiring my username and password.

Please check Preferences → Advanced → Network → Settings. Compare that with the settings of Google Chrome.
If it says automatic, maybe the settings are taken from an environment variable ending with "_PROXY".
If you don't understand what that means, please search/ask at https://support.mozilla.org/ (feel free to post the link to your question there here) as it currently seems to be a support question, which people there are more used to solve.
("access" is the keyword for accessibility, which is about things useful to "users with disabilities and special needs.", most notably screenreader users; Priority is for the developers to set.)

Dear Aleksej, I'm glad your response.
My Firefox was set to obtain the proxy configuration through the system. Both of browsers was set in the same manner.

I've done recently a downgrade in my Firefox version. I've installed the Firefox 28 and it worked. It prompted for me the login and password.

You can start Firefox with the profile manager using "./firefox -P". Note that if a Firefox is running, it might open a new window of that instead; to avoid that, use --no-remote, or set an environment variable with "export MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1".
If it's the same with a new profile, you can try using mozregression <http://harthur.github.io/mozregression/> to find the day when the problematic change happened. That takes time, but is easy and usually very helpful.

@Ruancarlo, is this issue still reproducible on the latest Firefox versions (e.g. Firefox 45 / Nightly 48)?
