This is the user story bug to track async codec feature for Firefox OS 2.1. To smooth audio/video playback, this enhancement is to implement unblocking fashion on the audio/video decoding.

Yes. This is one of Media team's 2.1 features (with preference off).

Based on the dependency, the only one thing remaining is bug 1009410.
