Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140605174243

Steps to reproduce:

Recieve text messages from known contacts.
Hear "incoming" message sound, see text bubbles move upward, but text of new mesages does not show.

Actual results:

Wait a few seconds to sometimes minutes, and the text will finally appear.
There are no errors in the error log.
Outgoing messages also do not appear right away, but usually have a much smaller delay (1 second or so).

Win7 64, 16GB ram.

Expected results:

Text should appear immediately upon receiving message.
Unfortunately there have been no other reports of this and none of our developers are seeing this behavior (so we can't really reproduce). Maybe you can give us more details. Does this always happen for all conversations? Does it (possibly) only happen after a conversation has many messages in it? Is there anything else you can think of that might be "strange" about your setup?
On the behalf of Florian:
Closing bugs related to the Instantbird UI as WONTFIX, as the development of the standalone chat client Instantbird has stopped. Instantbird users are encouraged to migrate to Thunderbird. The user interface of instant messaging in Thunderbird will feel familiar, as the Thunderbird IM support started as a fork of Instantbird.
