We're currently working on a new badges.mozilla.org, and I'm not sure if we should be using the old API key for this, or if you would like us to use a new one. If it makes any difference, we'll probably be using the Mozillians API a little more extensively than the current site does.

Since current API key has limited access (community level) I suggest that we create a new API key for you.

Please answer the questions listed in "Process for "Reviewed" API keys " section https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozillians/API here and :williamr will take it from here.

Thanks for choosing mozillians.org API!
Hi Giorgios, thanks for picking this up.

Name of your app:
  mozilla-badges

App URL:
  badges.mozilla.org

How you plan to use the API:
Initially, we'll be using it in the same way the current badges.mozilla.org does, to verify if a user is a vouched community member. We may take certain pieces of information from their profile to use as defaults when setting up their account, but this will be editable at the time. Going forward, we would like to be able to do things like make recommendations based on a user's skill set, group membership, location, etc.

Justification for needing a "reviewed" API key:
We'd like to be able to integrate better with the community by using information they've given us to improve their badges experience. This information will not be made public.

Is this sufficient information?

Yes, it is. You also meet the criteria of hosting on Mozilla infrastructure. a+.

I have sent an email with your new API key. Stop by #commtools on IRC if you have any questions about using the API. And please in mind our API data guidelines here in your development:
