Once a tab is opened, if you want to open its content in a new window, you must copy the URL, paste it in the window, and (if you want) close the tab. This could (and should?) be done in one step, using Drag and Drop (dragging the tab outside its window would turn it into a new window) or some option in the right click menu of the tab.
