If you drag a link in the direction start with left or right, only the link's text will be selected. Is it an intention change?
I would vote to keep this as a feature.
Most browsers cannot easily copy the link text only when desired.
I recommend changing bug desc to 'not in feature list' and resolve bug in that manner

It will break tons of drag extension. Alt key will do the job:)
