addons mozilla org lets people view source and license. Some users of marketplace want to search by license. This bug is dedicated to adding this feature into the search interface.
License is not part of the submission flow for apps, we currently don't know the license of the apps. Is that something you would suggest adding?
We don't have the data for this, most webapps don't have a license, so not sure what to do here.

Corrected bug title accordingly. I would like someone to re-open the bug, since Addons.Mozilla.Org has this feature.
Summary: add ability to filter results by license → Indicate license of the apps (and add a search filter)
For what it's worth, if a webapp doesn't have a license, that means it's non-free, and you can just mark it as such. If authours see their app listed inaccurately as non-free, then they'll fix the license field.

Please give app consumers this vital information.
