Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140608211622
Steps to reproduce:
There are multiple ways to reproduce this bug:
1st method
1. open a Firefox window
2. move the Firefox window to the secondary display, which is on the left of the primary display
3. close the Firefox window
4. open a new Firefox window
2nd
1. open a Firefox window
2. move the Firefox window to the secondary display, which is on the left of the primary display
3. move the Firefox window back to the primary display
4. close the Firefox window
5. open a new Firefox window
The window that's moved doesn't need to be the first spawned window and also a private browsing window will work. The main thing is to move a window to the display on the left, and at some point, close it.
Actual results:
As a result, the new window opened in the last step opens in the secondary, leftmost window.
Expected results:
The expected result is that the new window will open on either of the following:
- the display where the _last_ Firefox window was closed last time or
- the primary display.
The only way I have found to fix this issue is to move the window to the primary display NOT maximized and then close it. The new window will open not maximized on the primary display, after which you can maximize it and close it again. Only after this will a new window automatically open maximized on the primary display.
