Details

This will follow exactly the same process as for the other Background Services. (See the WIP patch in Bug 1024708). We can copy-paste, or we can try to unify a little bit. We have a preference already in place; we need to update the service to accept the preference and do the right thing in that case.
I'll take this as part of the Bug 1024708 landing process.
