Steps to reproduce:
Press CTRL+CMD+SPACE to open the Special Characters menu when entering text in a form.

Application Basics
------------------
Name: Firefox
Version: 32.0a2
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0
I cannot reproduce the problem. This menu seems to be useable with single clicks, and you can dismiss the menu with a single click.

Not the popup menu itself, the actual form, on further inspection even other links on the page, not just form elments, can't be single-clicked anymore,

I cannot reproduce this with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0.
Could you verify if this happens in safe mode?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Basic+Troubleshooting#w_3-restart-firefox-in-safe-mode
and with a new profile?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Is this happening on any form or with a specific web page?

At some point this bug seems to have resolved itself.
