Go to Developer menu, then head to "Launch First Time Use". Keep on pressing "Next", and right after pressing "Skip" to skip the tour, the following message shows up in `adb logcat`: JavaScript Error: "NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE: Component returned failure code: 0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [nsIMessageSender.sendAsyncMessage]" {file: "chrome://global/content/BrowserElementChildPreload.js" Setting needinfo? from Francisco, the First Time Use module owner. $ ./check_versions.sh Gaia c47094a26c87ba71a3da4bae54febd0da21f3393 Gecko https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/1b1296d00330 BuildID 20140711040202 Version 33.0a1 ro.build.version.incremental=109 ro.build.date=Mon Jun 16 16:51:29 CST 2014 B1TC00011220
Component: Gaia → Gaia::First Time Experience
I also tested this on a Flame.
Gary could you try again with a recent build? Did you go through the FB import? Thanks!

E/GeckoConsole( 968): [JavaScript Error: "NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE: Component returned failure code: 0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [nsIMessageSender.sendAsyncMessage]" {file: "chrome://global/content/BrowserElementChildPreload.js" line: 43}] This happens again on the Flame with: $ ./check_versions.sh Gecko https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/e6e8c93a1b6e BuildID 20140718040202 Version 33.0a1 ro.build.version.incremental=109 ro.build.date=Mon Jun 16 16:51:29 CST 2014 B1TC00011220 Immediately after flashing and the FTU screen comes up, I tap "Next" to go through the screens, only stopping to select an open WiFi network, as well as setting the dates and time/timezones. I did not go through Facebook import. I did not select anything else, and upon exiting FTU via "Skip", the message shows in `adb logcat`.

This no longer occurs as of: $ ./check_versions.sh Gaia 295967a0b824a355ae9d57fb08f3632ed2ad18dd Gecko https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/a4dcfbebcb58 BuildID 20140728040209 Version 34.0a1 ro.build.version.incremental=110 ro.build.date=Fri Jun 27 15:57:58 CST 2014 B1TC00011230 -> WORKSFORME. However, a bunch of new JavaScript warnings now show up instead, so I've filed bug 1045388.
