Steps to reproduce:

I downloaded any two files on firefox in Linux Mint XFCE 17 LTS. Go to downloads-right click on any file - open containing folder- > thunar opens, but no file is selected/highlighted


Actual results:

 thunar opens but no file is selected/highlighted


Expected results:

 thunar opens and desired file is selected/highlighted

This is already fixed with respect Firefox side.

Next step would be to open a bug in downstream Thunar project to request they implement the Freedesktop File Manager DBus Interface: 

http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/file-manager-interface/ 

They just need to implement the "ShowItems" method from above spec, which is the one that Firefox uses to highlight files when using the "Open containing folder" action. 


This bug should be resolved DUPLICATE of bug 417952, or INVALID as it's outside of Firefox duties.
