Every time since I discovered about:config I wished that I could edit these preferences right in place. Instead I have to write a note with the exact name of the pref (you can't even copy the name, copy in context menu is deactivated :( ) close Mozilla (so my prefs.js doesn't get overwritten) and put the user_pref in my prefs.js. This would be much easier if I could edit the prefs in about:pref either by getting an edit field (just a textfield) when double clicking on a line or on the value field or by getting a dialog for the pref, wichever is easier to implement. This way I don't have to hand write the pref name (and maybe introducing typos) and avoid having to close Mozilla. I know there are propably low resources for a feature like this but it would be really cool anyway. At least until there is a real interface for evrey pref out there... And maybe it helps lowering the barrier for setting user prefs and testing some new feature that is pref'd out.
