Now that Bug 1029513 and Bug 800200 have been fixed, we want to make sure Venkman only works on older SeaMonkey and Firefox versions. I'm not sure what's needed for this, can we tweak the compatibility settings on the Venkman amo account to fix this or is a "real" extension block for newer versions needed? SeaMonkey will no longer ship Venkman, but of course users will still have Venkman installed (in their profile).

Jorge, can we adjust things on AMO in a way that won't get auto-updated to include newer versions?

Yes, we (AMO admins) can flag it as incompatible with any version range of any application. We just need the exact info in order to do it.

Looks like Gecko 33 is the first incompatible version. Gecko 31 will still work, and I think 32 as well.
