In order to encourage users to up-level their vouching status, and to explain the current changes being made - I suggest adding Vouch wiki information to the Vouch section of the Edit Profile page.

Thanks for filing this, Rebecca. I think the key piece of information with the new changes is to let people know they need 3 vouches in order to vouch for others. Suggested copy to appear below the Vouches & Invites section: "Being vouched lets you view all profiles and access other Mozilla sites as a vouched Mozillian. Having 3 or more vouches allows you to vouch for other people. [https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozillians/Vouching Learn more about vouching]."

Suggestion: We add a "Account status" section in edit profile. This section lists your account status: 1. whether you're vouched or not 2. whether you can vouch others or not. I took the copy from comment #1 and adapted it to the suggested interface: - When is_vouched = False and can_vouch = False. Copy: Vouched: No, you can access only public Mozillian profiles. Can vouch: No, you need at least 3 vouches to vouch others. - When is_vouched = True and can_vouch = False. Copy: Vouched: Yes, you view all profiles and access other Mozilla sites as a vouched Mozillian. Can vouch: No, you need at least 3 vouches to vouch others. - When is_vouched = True and can_vouch = True. Copy: Vouched: Yes, you view all profiles and access other Mozilla sites as a vouched Mozillian. Can vouch: Yes, you can vouch others. In all cases the "Read more about vouching" link exists. I combine with suggestion with suggestion in bug 1042892 comment #9 [0] [0] https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1042892#c9

Updated wording: - "Yes, you can view all profiles and access other Mozilla sites as a vouched Mozillian." - "No, you can only access public Mozillian profiles." - Yes, you can vouch for others. - No, you need at least {{ vouch_threshold }} vouches to vouch for others.

Looks great on staging. It addresses all of my concerns- it shows exactly where you are, and where you can go- with a link to read if you forgot the details.
