1043174 - Remove the drag function of revealing full profile pic in Contacts details

Currently, if users want to see the full profile picture in Contact details, they shall drag the edge of the photo to reveal it. This is not intuitive at all. (check attachment)

We are thinking about removing the "drag" function here and directly displaying the full profile pic here.

I really like that effect, but it's true that is pretty difficult to discover, so looking forward to see the solutions you propose \o/

This bug is a bit confusing for me again, since it since title is 'Remove the drag function of revealing full profile pic in Contacts details' but the attachment is related to the contacts FTE.

Carrie, Wesley can you clarify on this?

Ok,

I can see that we have bug 1041624, and this bug now blocking 1043166.

What's the plan for this specific bug? Is just removing the functionality? IMHO, this is getting late for receiving the specs now for a different design.

Yes, I think me confusing myself too!
I uploaded the wrong attachment! Sorry.Please just ignore it.

I know it will be too late to provide a new layout design at this point and I think it should be considered comprehensively when we are having the full Contacts visual refresh work in the future.

So I'd propose two solutions here for now:

Remove the drag function on that photo edge and

1. Display the the photo with the size as the user drag it to show the full of it.

2. Set an acceptable photo size and display the photo with that size. (Visual will provide the preferred size)

I'm not sure which one is more practical and feasible in this release. What do you say? Thanks!

Carrie, should we do a couple of tests quickly and just go for one of the options.

I have the feeling that showing all the full size image when you pull down could be too big.

Will try to find some time to send you some screenshots after I'm back from holidays.

I'm going to remove the blocking on bug 1043166 , since we decided to postpone this work for next releases.
