User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140605174243 Steps to reproduce: I went into Firefox help-about. It then checked for updates. It found Firefox 31. I clicked "Update to Firefox 31" and then it downloaded the 16.6 MB update, and it started applying the update. I waited for around half an hour, but it couldn't apply the update Actual results: I waited for around half an hour, but it couldn't apply the update. It continued to show 'applying update' even after a long time. Expected results: It should have updated to Firefox 31.
You can work around the issue by simply reinstalling using the current version: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
