Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140716183446
Steps to reproduce:
This is an enhancement request. My testing with Firefox 31 shows that the The Firefox Certificate Manager can import CA certificates from a PKCS7 bundle if the bundle is in DER format and all the certificates are from a trusted root (Only one root allowed in the bundle). I operate a PKI in a large corporation and am able to bundle our certificates within those constraints. We require a wide distribution of our CA certificates.
Our users are not so savvy about selecting another certificate type.
Actual results:
Users can not select P7B files when the import dialog box is filtered. They must filter to all files (*.*) in order to import P7 files.
Expected results:
I would like to see another filter option to select PKCS7 files (*.p7b, *.p7c) so that users can see that it is a recognized and allowable file type.
