In order to do a good audit of user rights (and maintain them in the future, e.g. when adding new user groups), we could really use the BatchUserRights extension.

Looks like a good idea but https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:BatchUserRights suggest that this extension has been "...not actively maintained" since November 2017.
Also, not sure that we have enough traffic these days to need to change UserRights for large numbers of users.
