Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt) BuildID: 20011012 I had setup a machine running VNC client on some cheap hardware and have it viewing Mozilla running on a server (both Linux) with the VNC X server. There is no window manager running and the Mozilla window is positioned via the - geometry command line option. With no Window manager running, it is impossible to enter a URL into the URL field (the keyboard events are not sent there correctly). With a Window manager keyboard events are funnled correctly. This setup is for a little Kiosk where no window manager is necessary. I verified the configuration by launching an Xterm in place of Mozilla. It accepted keyboard events just fine. Should a window manager be necessary to receive keyboard focus events? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch vncserver 2. Launch Mozilla on vncserver with no other X apps or Window manager running. Use -geometry 600x400+0+0 3. Click on URL entrybar as you normally would. Cursor appears as it gets focus. Type in URL. Actual Results: No characters appeared on the URL bar.
