Not sure how this happens. Clearing the cache does not fix it or cause it to
happen. I am doing this over dialup.

and you are sure it wasn't bad coding on the site -- right? I looked at the site
and do not see the same article, they have updated the site I guess.
Syd, can you check again and see if you still see the problem, since I do not I
am inclined to mark as wfm
Just a data point: Syd asked me to try this last night when he encountered the
problem. I was using the 10-16 branch 094 build on Win32 and did not see the
problem which Syd saw. I was on the LAN.

I see this at least once a week, but I can never reproduce it reliably, and
reloading the page generally makes it go away. Yesterday, for example, I had it
on home.netscape.com and it persisted past a reload, so I saved the page to disk
and it does not happen anymore - on the disk-image or on the site.
Either we have a nasty parser problem (timing problem or memory bullet or
uninitialized variable or some such pleasantry), or the site is actually invalid
for a brief amount of time, then it gets fixed. I have never been able to
reproduce this (and I ahve tried for hours) on a known static page (disk or my
own website).
NOTE: the corruption shown in the attached screenshot is EXACTLY what I was
seeing yesterday, so maybe the site was foul. I saw it about 11:45am, is that
when yousay it Syd?

I frequently see the html for about:blank rendered into a white background
before the real page loads on trunk builds on WINNT.

Unable to reproduce, and I have not seen this recently. Moving off to Future,
bring it back in if it starts happening again.

Worksforme; we had some necko/cache issues back when that could have caused this...
Please reopen if this appears in recent builds.
