Hello,
I would like to inform that The newer version above 0.7 is fail to set font
size. My Linux system resolution is 1280*1024 and try (www.linuxeden.com) It
used Simple Chinese fonts. Font size setting OK when Mozilla ver.0.7. Try Edit-
>Preferences->Fonts Language encoding set to Simplified Chinese. Setting Size
to 16. It looks good and frame size follows the Fonts size proportionaly. But
size problem could be found at all Ver.9 to 9.5. Size could not be set to
larger. Change the Mozilla screen resolution to 96dpi more or less could not
help. If set the View->Text Size to 120% or 150% then the font would be larger
but the frame alway the same small. Result would be no space between fonts they
are mix up and close togather. Looks very ugry. For this reason I am still
using Ver.0.7. The problem keeps so long may be no Chinese point it out. Please
check it out.
Could you reply if you feel that the problem does exist.
Thank you.

Summary: Text zoom causes pixel overlay → Text zoom causes pixel overlap
Dup of bug 95267. I used the web-sniffer and saw that the stylesheet has: LINE-HEIGHT: 14px; *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 95267 ***

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
Though this report is duplicated to others. But it has pointed out that Version 0.7 no such bug. It is significant to compare source code between Version 0.7 with Version 0.95. It may be easier to be fixed.

tosky: I agree that it is frustrating that text zoom is broken. This is not a Linux font problem (my area), it is a layout problem of what to do during text zoom when the line height is fixed. It may be that in 0.7 mozilla worked becasue it did not respect the line height directive. All I can suggest is that you go to bug 95267 and add a note saying this is causing you problems.
