BuildID: 2001101803
Unfortunately I can't present this bug in an easily reproduceable manner, since
I'm not sure exactly what causes it to occur, but it's happened to me several
times over the last few weeks, using several different Mozilla builds on two
different computers.
When this bug occurs, it becomes impossible for me to type any input either in a
form control on a Web page or in the URL address bar. Pressing any key, whether
a letter key to type or an arrow or tab key to move, has no effect (see
exception below), though the mouse controls function normally and allow me to
move the cursor between and within input fields by clicking.
The only exception I found to the letter keys having no effect was that pressing
the letter "f" caused the "Add Bookmark" dialog box to come up, though it was in
a very small resized state where you could only see "Add Book" until you
increased its size. Since "f" is the key for "File Bookmark" when you're in the
Bookmarks menu, Mozilla apparently thought it was in that menu and not in an
input field. Subsequently I found that typing "b" adds the current page to the
bookmarks, just as it would in that menu.
There seems to be no way to get Mozilla out of this mode other than quitting and
restarting it. Sometimes when you restart the bug is still active and you have
to keep trying over and over again until you finally get a browser that will
take normal input.
Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce (Well, it reproduced itself sporadically, but I
can't figure out how to actually induce it...)
