This is a regression caused by commit 201345 http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/8e1f72905179 Playback will start and pause after 1 or 2s.

The rebasing of p2 from bug 1044498 without p1 may have dragged in the bug that caused cajbir to r- p1.
The landed patches also seem to cause the console to be spammed with overflow messages. The green/yellow timebar of the video is way outside the normal size which is probably causing those messages. If I revert the other patches in the 1044498 landing this goes away. Should I raise a separate bug for that?

It's easier to roll this in to bug 1044498 since it's still open.
